One day, Maria and João met. They fell in love and began a story. They sowed, and Mariana, João, and Mimi were born. João and Maria are the root and trunk. Mariana, João, and Mimi, they are taller and farther. They are the future of João and Maria’s story. Another day, João and Maria came to us. They said they dreamed of a home that would be part of their story. They told us they love nature, gentle breezes, summer, being together, being a family. They challenged us to envision this house of future stories. So we did!”

Throughout history, in an attempt to explain the nature of matter, several theories have emerged… One of them was created by Empedocles. Everything that exists in the universe would be composed of four main elements: EARTH FIRE AIR WATER.

At the top of the hill, with unobstructed views to the river, excellent sunlight exposure, an open-air lookout, the dream became a reality. A young family with three children, absolutely passionate about nature, wanted a home where the social area would allow them to always be together and in contact with the outdoors. The house was a means to an end… They wanted to always feel this connection: the freedom to, at any moment, go out without barriers or impediments, to educate their children with this notion of spaciousness, lightness, freedom, simplicity, to walk barefoot, to play. Without prejudices.
